Keystone was approved today with the conclusion that it would have no climate impacts. This is just another in the long line of huge subsidies for fossil fuels. Meanwhile, penguin chicks at Punta Tombo in Argentina are dying off as a result of intensifying storms and rising temperatures. A new farm bill was passed with continuing subsidies for overproduced commodities without any change change in policy toward conservation and greenhouse gas reduction (crops play a major role, too). Nothing in there for water conservation practices. Meanwhile, several California communities have only 100 days of water left because of the worst drought the state has seen in recorded history, and probably in the last 500 years according to climatologists.<br /><br />Keep at the story, Josh.
